Crandall Loses in Triple Overtime to Forney
Entering Thursday night’s matchup both Crandall and Forney were 2-0 in district play. There was a lot on the line as 5A Region 2 District 8 is a highly competitive district. The Jackrabbits had lost a heartbreaker last season in quadruple overtime to the Pirates. If that game was any prediction of how Thursday night would go, we were going to be in for a treat. Both teams wouldn’t disappoint!

2021 UNITY BOWL—What a Game!
Disclaimer: I went to this game as a fan of both Forney Teams, and my greatest hope was for an exciting game from start to finish, with no serious injuries and no unjustified disruptions. I believe I “got” all that I expected and more. But, I must admit that since I am a graduate of Forney High and was a 37-year-teacher there, I was pulling for the Rabbits to be the scoreboard winners. I have several times heard the old cliché that “both teams were winners,” and Friday night that was true! I will try to remember details correctly!
