Peggy Marie Newton

Peggy Marie Newton, age 87 of Forney passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020. She was born June 22, 1933 in Forney, Texas to Fowler Oba Roberson and Faye Jones Roberson. She married Darrell Porter Newton on June 4, 1954.

Peggy enjoyed working in her yard, making ceramics, crocheting and doing puzzles. Her greatest love was her family. She enjoyed being able to help others. It had to be very difficult at times but you never heard her complain. If you ever needed anything, all you had to do was ask. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Porter Newton, infant son Darrell Porter Newton, Jr., daughter Debra Ann Newton, grandson Christo-pher Allen Newton, parents Oba and Faye Roberson, sisters Evelyn Brewster and Joan Richman, brothers Bobby Roberson and Harold Roberson.

Peggy is survived by her son David Alan Newton and wife Shawna of Forney, grandchildren Christina Miller and husband Eric of Garland, Tasha Newton and Josh Metzinger of Forney, Darrell Newton and Anna Morris of Newnan Georgia, Mallory O’Brien and Zack Rose, Riley O’Brien and Emilie Reaves all of Dallas, Cody Burns of Forney, great grandchildren Easton Miller, Braylin Amendson and another due in June. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Beth Roberson of Mesquite and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Peggy’s family would like to say a special thank you to Carla Newton, Heather Thompson and the rest of the team at Hope Health and Heartland Fellowship Church.

Visitation will be held at New Hope Funeral Home on Thursday, November 5th from 6-8 p.m. and a Graveside Service will be held at the Newton Cemetery, 9878 FM 740 S. on Friday, November 6th at 11 a.m.
