How Can We Know If Someone Is A True Teacher From God? (John 7:14-24)
“You don’t have to swing hard to hit a home run. If you got the timing, it’ll go,” said Yogi Berra.

Exercise is just as beneficial for older adults as it is for children and young adults. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, engaging in regular physical activity is among the most important steps older adults can take as they seek to safeguard their overall health. Such activity can prevent or delay many age-related health problems and strengthen muscles while improving balance, which can reduce risk for falls and injuries such as broken bones. The CDC notes that certain physical activities can be characterized as multicomponent activities, which means they combine aerobic activity, muscle strengthening and balance training. Examples of such activities include dancing, yoga, tai chi, gardening, and even sports participation.
Things that fall: the Romans to the Visigoths, windy winter leaves, snow in the northeast, babies learning to walk, and Dina Moon anytime she’s allowed on a ladder. It’s ok. I have come to terms with certain facts. Namely, I am only young and spry in my mind. My body did not get that memo. Secondly, I somehow remain a possibilitarian. I say things to myself like, “What if it works out better than expected? What if I’m a raging success?” The craziest things in the world started out as wild ideas few believed would actually work. Ask Orville and Wilbur Wright. Ask Guglielmo Marconi. The Earl of Sandwich could not have anticipated the unveiling of the Monte Cristo, and Alexander Graham Bell has rolled over in his grave over the iPhone enough times to auger his way to Shanghai. Great things happen when we ignore the little voice that says, “You can’t do that. You’re incapable. It won’t work.” ‘Tis true. Still, I am not poised on the precipice of an invention that could change the face of an industry. I’m just a short woman trying to clean out her kitchen cabinets.

Ever wonder where you could go that is close by and will let you work with a 3D printer? Or be able to collaborate with other creatives to make an idea a reality? Stay tuned to the happenings at The OC as a makerspace area named Assembly Required will be opening up later in the spring.
On December 12, 2023, a Kaufman County jury found KYLE BRANDON WILLIAMS guilty on two counts of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact. Williams was the 27-yearold live-in boyfriend of the children’s mother. The jury heard testimony that he began perpetrating the offenses when the children were 7 and 9 years old. Following the children’s outcries of Williams’ sexual abuse, their mother was later arrested and charged with hindering the apprehension of a fugitive when Williams was located by law enforcement hiding in her closet.
Afterschool programs keep children safe, inspire them to learn, and give working parents the peace of mind that comes with knowing their kids are supervised and learning after the school day ends. There is an urgent need for greater investments in these programs, as U.S. children and youth try to recover academically and socially from the pandemic.

MUZZLELOADERS PROVIDE LATE SEASON VENISON
Hello, 2024. Despite the fact that you sound like some Orwell/Asimov book pitch, I promise you I’m trying. Thank goodness no one writes checks anymore. I would surely be putting last year’s date on every transaction between now and late August. Once the queen of the vision board, the supreme ruler of the resolution, the princess of the new planner, & the sultan of the paradigm shift, you have me worn plumb out already, 2024. That’s why I am taking this moment, printed word influencer though I am not, to make an official announcement. Clink the champagne glass. Knock the gavel. In the words of 1996’s DJ Kool, 28 years ago (egad), let me clear my throat. After much thought and intense scrutiny, I have decided to make my word of the year (drumroll) easy. Make that easy with a lil e.
Saving is a vital component of financial planning. However, more than half of Americans are saving too little and do not have an accurate grasp of their spending habits.
