PAWHUSKA (originally known as “Deep Ford” and established in 1872) is the County Seat of Osage County, Oklahoma, and was named after an 1800s Osage Indian Chief, PawHiuSkah, which translates to “White Hair” in English! The town’s first newspaper (Wah-Sha- She News) was established in 1875 by George Edward Tinker, an Osage who was the father of Clarence L. Tinker, highest ranking Native American Officer in the U. S. Army.

The indication is that when a person dies without being “saved by the blood of the lamb” their name is blotted out of the book of life. This should not be strange to people because Jesus spoke of blotting names out of the book of life. What He said was that if a person will accept Him as their personal savior He will not blot their name from the book of life. That is often confused with the statement Jesus made about blotting names out of the book of life.
