Republican State Representative Keith Bell announced today that he will seek re-election to the Texas State House following a session that many have called “one of the most conservative sessions in Texas history.” Rep. Bell is eager to continue the momentum of Republican victories he just helped secure on behalf of House District 4, which is comprised of Kaufman County and part of Henderson County.

At the June 28th During TVCC board meeting, trustees appointed Terry Eason, Ed.D. to fill the District 9 seat, vacated by the death of Homer Norville in December 2020. Eason was administered the oath of office by Henderson County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Judge Randy Daniel.

The man who gunned down 26 people at a Sutherland Springs church in Texas’ deadliest ever mass shooting should not have been able to buy the assault style weapon he used, but the store that sold it to him can’t be sued because a federal database failed to flag his past assault conviction, the Texas Supreme Court ruled Friday.

Forney High School Cheer Squad Earns Numerous Awards at NCA Camp

In preparation for the 2021-2022 athletic and cheer season, the varsity, junior varsity (JV), and freshman cheerleading squads from Forney High School attended the National Cheerleading Association (NCA) summer training camp on June 10-13, 2021 at The Gaylord Texan Hotel and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas. While at the camp, the FHS cheer teams learned a variety of new cheers and chants and dance material as well as participated in team building activities, perfected stunting techniques and participated in daily evaluations and a final camp competition.
